Conference Objectives:

- Create a forum where WKKF Learning Lab partners value their collective experiences, share expertise across projects, and create an atmosphere of mutual respect, genuine collaboration, and deepened commitment to the work of each team.
The below section is from the Executive Summary of the Hawaii conference. Overall, the conference was a huge success, as was demonstrated by every single participant who completed an evaluation form wanting to participate in the next conference!
There were five emerging themes that resonated throughout the conference:
- Better transitions throughout the P-20 educational pipeline.
- More policy discussion.
- Generating public will for early childhood education.
- Mandating time for teachers to spend on professional development.
- Community involvement, ownership and strengthening.
